Certain gems and stones are long believed to possess characteristics of
special meaning in our lives, some of which reflect a deeper meaning
for the LGBT community. Among those featured here are:
Rainbow
Moonstone-once believed to capture the light of the moon and stars, it
represents femininity, love and gentleness.
A long-revered Goddess stone, it is known to balance and soothe the
emotions, as well as to protect women.
Amethyst-the
beautiful lavender stone long worn as a royal gem, it represents
spirit, transformation, wisdom - and luck!. It is known to
bring contentment, tranquility and peace, as well as to induce dreams
and visions.
Also known to help one become emotionally centered - enhancing
contentment and calmness. In practical terms, it assists with
decision making.
Labradorite-the
stone of intuition, revelation, transformation and strength.
It is known to bring out and enhance one's own powers of clarity
of purpose, as well as to assist one to see through illusions and
connect with one's destiny. Its unexpectedly flashing colors
reflect the brightness of one's inner being.
Rose
Quartz-the 'heart' or 'love' stone, known to help bring out the peace
and gentleness in one's disposition as well as to support and reconcile
relationships. Also known to help one love one's self rather than
live to please others, as well to as enhance self-acceptance and trust
in one's own truth.
Clear
Quartz-while a more common stone, it is the ultimate stone of clarity,
known to absorb and discharge those negative energies in the body and
help one to feel less 'wired'! Also known help to overcome fear
of change. It assists in bringing energy and amplifying the
powers
of other stones.
Onyx-the
stone known to possess the power to defend against negativity and
separate one from those forces. Also known to help one to release from
sorrow and grief, often used as a worry stone.
Lapis Lazuli -a treasured gem in ancient times believed to
be more
valuable than gold, it is now known to relieve depression and
melancholy, to assist emotional healing, and to enhance creativity,

expression, and relationships.
Garnet, once known as the bringer of light, it was once used in the
stained glass windows of medieval cathedrals, it is also known to
represent health, passion and fidelity; as well as to enhance

Smoky Quartz, sometimes called smoky topaz,
when heated it forms the more valuable Citrine, it is known to enhance
personal pride and the joy of living, to purify primal instincts, and
bring out one's sexual nature (coincidentally, also the Scorpio
